Kevin E. Kruse, DVM
Born and raised in Deer Park, TX, Dr. Kevin E. Kruse began working at Hill Country Animal Hospital in 1996. After practicing at the hospital for four years, he purchased the practice in 2000.
Dr. Kruse attended Texas A&M University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences in 1983. He continued his veterinary education at Texas A&M and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. A general practitioner, Dr. Kruse has numerous professional interests including general surgery and orthopedic surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the Australian Shepherd Club of America.
Having been raised around many different kinds of animals, Dr. Kruse knew from a very young age that he wanted to care for them. He gets great satisfaction from caring for pets and enjoys the challenges that veterinary medicine has to offer. He finds nothing more rewarding than being a part of the bond that a pet owner has with his or her pet.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Kruse enjoys gardening, ranch work, traveling and model rocketry. He lives with an Australian Shepherd named Thunderbolt, who he is training to herd cattle on the family ranch.
